Looks like an awful nice spray booth.. Razz

I usually put a screw-on filter at both ends of the hose just to be extra safe.

With an HVLP you don't need a lot of draft on your ventilation. You actually can get away with not having any. I just sprayed the black in my storage room since my spray booth is not sealed up yet.

Get a BIG piece of cardboard and wet it down, lay it on a table, then spray your parts on top of that (keeping the parts off the cardboard somehow) and it will minimize any particles from getting on the fresh paint.

I've been real busy lately and have been putting this paint on the back burner.

But I HAVE to get it to the artist.

I went out tonight and finished the front piece so it matches. I didn't take a lot of pics because I'm dead tired but you'll see it came out like the rest of the case, nice and glossy.

Painting plastic is not quite as easy as metal. But it's done.

Here is the before pic of the front piece and you can see it had a dull plastic look compared to the case -

And now -

Much better - it matches! Razz

Here are a few random shots showing how it looks. Now I can get it shipped to New York. I am crossing my fingers the shipper takes it easy on the package. I can just see them kicking it out the door of their truck. Evil or Very Mad

lol..what?

The case is now in the hands of good ol' UPS so I hope it makes it undamaged. Steve will be working his magic very soon and he's going to send me pics of the progress so I can share with you guys.

Now you guys can help me with some suggestions for hardware.

I will be looking for sponsors but I haven't put thought into what I want yet. I have too many hobbies so I can't seem to keep up on all the details about the latest and greatest.

It's my wife's computer so it doesn't need to be super crazy but on the other hand it is a mod that should have some good stuff in it I would think.

This I do know -

I'm going to stick with air cooling

SSD's

Needs really cool lighting that I can hide. Including something to light up UV paint.

Any good suggestions?

I thought of that as well. I do love how it keeps everything so clean looking on the mobo. You may have nailed it good sir.

Prepare to have your mind BLOWN!!!!!

I just received word from Steve that the paint is done. And he sent pictures of it.

Let me just say this while you are still thinking clearly - Steve was so awesome in helping me with this build. He helped me through my design and concept and added his own flair. He was very positive and understood just what I was after and didn't try to change my mind or anything. And I really appreciate that. If you or anyone you know needs to have some air brushing done, you must contact him. I really believe he might be the best in the entire world. See his work at http://www.stevenunez.com/index2.html

And now for the pics -

I am still shocked and cannot believe what I am seeing. Hope you like it too.

Here is what I gave him to use -

and this for the front -

and this is what he did . . . . . . .

When I opened his email and saw these pics I was floored. I am almost afraid to touch it. But I gotta get hardware and it still needs a few mods.
I will be wearing white cotton gloves and I need a microfiber work table! Cool

I need to go lay down now.

Has wifey seen this or are you going to let it be a surprise? I know that she's in on the project but at this point the final product could be a surprise Smile

She's in on it now. It was for her birthday that was on April 25th so I had to let her in on the deal. And I thought she might like to be part of the decision making instead of me just taking charge like I usually do.
She is blown away also.

I might try to keep the rest of it to myself and do a nice unveil for her in the end.

I have to get some hardware coming because I will be modding a lot of stuff to match the theme.

I love how he painted the hdd cages and the inside of the front door as well. Nicely done! And I'm sure he appreciated the godlike pristine mirror finish you provided for him too. Smile

Dude....tbh, I was really skeptical about this build at first just because I generally don't believe many people pull off the wonder woman vibe very well (with the exception of Daria from The Buzz)...

I must say, WOWZERS and jimminy jillikers!

This looks amazing. The case compliments the crown so well its just meant to be.

Paint is amazing... and it's a good thing you used the original Wonder Woman, as the new show was canceled before the pilot even aired. DOH!
