Is Capcom making a bad choice?

I just got done reading this and wanted to get others opinions on it. I think it will sell moderately well on release because of the title but will not do as well as any of the earlier releases and will end up being a $4.99 bargain bin game in the end.

To me it really depends on how they set the price point. If they want to charge me $60 for a one time game save they will go under in no time. If it's say $10 for a one time save, they maybe onto something.

I just read that article and was coming to post it. This is a terrible marketing choice. I see them damaging their sales more than stopping piracy. I can't say how many times I've replayed my favorite games... Dungeon Keeper II? Probably 5+ full play throughs, X-Com? At least five. Deus Ex? Ten or more, and that does not include playing through Deus Ex II right after. Ok, sure, those are PC platform, but I can name games on just about any platform where I've played through numerous times.

It isn't even about piracy or anything so contentious, it's about resale.

I'm going to laugh if they have a game breaking bug that would normally only require you to delete your save and start over.
