Show Volunteers Reply with quote
PDXLAN November events are very simple to run and to manage - but we need show volunteers to man the "Registration and Help Desk" for the show. We are looking for people to work a 4 hour shift - and that's it! Once you are done, you are done! We are looking for 12 people.

**I will give each of these people 1 ticket for the Charity System raffle**
**I am buying the ticket for you, you can put it in your name**

1. Friday 4PM-8PM (1 of 2, Reg) - Vulcnor
2. Friday 4PM-8PM (2 of 2, Reg) - Vulcnor Wife
3. Friday 8PM-Midnight (1 of 2, Reg) - Gov
4. Friday 8PM-Midnight (2 of 2, Reg) - TheBoot
5. Saturday 0:00 - 4AM - Wolfjet
6. Saturday 8AM - Noon - AGzCaveman420
7. Saturday Noon - 4PM -Slyvarius
8. Saturday 4PM - 8PM - CyberCrist
9. Saturday 8PM - Midnight
10. Sunday Midnight - 4AM - Baeowolf8
11. Sunday 8AM - Noon n0nexistence
12. Sunday Noon - 4PM pdXjoe

Please post if you are interested!

And by the way - you will see that PDXLAN only closes for 4 hours a day Smile

mainly answer questions such as:

"i cant get online"
"wheres the ATM"
"wheres the nearest Mcdonalds/restaraunt"
"whens the raffle"

Information/tech support basically.. If you know how to troubleshoot a network issue or pc issue and know the area you have had all your training.. Alot of times people come to you because they cant get online, and it can be usually the computer or if we block ports like at 18.. it would then be the pf sense and we then tell them the programs to kill and then we unlock them, which is a couple clicks.

If your doing reg, then its check the id make sure its the right name then find the badge and take waiver give them the badge, put waiver in the bin full o' waivers..

Food collection for raffle is have them place food on scale, measure it all, add it up and then hand out raffle tickets to the person..

Thats the position in a nutshell.

Hmmm I'm not the best at troubleshooting networking issues, in fact it's my weakpoint :/ the rest of it seems easy enough. I'll think on it

Lan attendance required?

Might be fun to drive across town at an odd time and watch the desk...
