Now addicted to minecraft - and here is a PDXLan server

gah, new seed? it really is kind of needed. the map has too many seed transitions. Which i was trying to pretty up and then crashed the server last night......

can we get some things copied over? like the earthscraper? The spawn buildings/city? failling that, some time as creative mode with Worldedit to recreat them? those were a ton of work. the castle is fine to lose, I have been thinking of rebuilding it for a 3rd time anyway....

As far as a time frame. I will probably be tied up with SWTOR for a month or so, not gone from minecraft, just most of the time on SWTOR. Then getting back into minecraft.

I vote to just reseed now if you are ready for the copying? or rebuilding of spawn and maybe a few of out huge projects.

well i have my own server up and runing with some mods for it. Any one that wants to play on it is welcome its surviale hard mode with pvp and ya its not 24/7 yet because im still fixing the server computer its looking i might have to buy a new server board but everything else on it is legacy so it might just mean buy a whole new server... super sad face

Tired of waiting for Crazy Nomad to get his server back up?

I have now rebuilt my server with multiworld support. The old creative server I had running is now joined by a survival world, on the same server with a portal between them!

Please log in and test the survival world and creative world. I am going to test for a little while then reseed after we are sure the features are working.

Please build some houses and use Residence 2, to protect them. Here are links to a good tutorial

Let me know if anything is broken. When I reseed and we start really playing the server, I will offer creative mode to people who want to try recreating what they had on nomads server. This would be for only a limited time. Also we will be building a Spawn village/area and creative mode will be allow for helpers on that system.

Installed plugins include:

Dynmap - Realtime web world map - http://nlancaster.dyndns.org:8123/
Runecraft - Magic runes to make this quicker/funner
Worldgaurd
Residence2 - self serve area protection system
Worldedit - only some OPs will have access to worldedit. Large scale excavation will be offered to players, to be performed by an OP. This will be complete excavation, no saving of ore. Very Happy

Nethrar - Allows instant nether access in survival mode, trying to get working on creative, and minecarts can run into the nether and back out.
Worldsaver - timed backup and save for antigreifing support.

Also this server is up 24/7 except for a reboot everyday at 5am.

You spawn at the portals atm.

orthodontist and flauntingmeat helped me with some testing last night. All but one thing appears to be working right. Need to fix an issue with gamemode switching when you enter/leave nether.

A few more nights of testing, then probably going to have a reseed party on sunday night. we can get in and check out a few seeds and find an interesting one, and a good place to build the spawn town/building/city.

So, there a couple of little annoyances on the server I have to work out, mostly have to do with non standard gameplay things that dont affect most people.

So here is the plan.

Sunday night about 8pm I Want to start trying a few different seeds to see which one we like. Once we find a good one, we will pick a site for the Spawn area/building/town/city, and get the interworld portal up and working and start on building whatever we want to build.

Hope to see some of you there.

The interworld portal is really cool, I like getting to see you creative world again -- although I almost got lost!
