| UV lighting researching need ideas thoughts |
|
I currently have a inverted duel cathode and it is getting dim and I have never really liked the light it put off, but i was cheap and I was to cheap to replace it, so don't suggest a inverted cathode.
Here are the two ideas I have come up with:
Inverterless cathode (would get two and mount them on my door pointing inward)

LED strip (long enough to attach to my door and point inward covering a lot of area)

Anyone have any experience with either? wondering more about the inverterless cathode?
Thanks

Those so-called "inverterless" cathodes aren't really inverterless. They have a micro inverter build into them so they don't have that ugly pale blue box anymore (I hate them too). Not sure if they are more or less durable than the old ones tho. I would hope they improved their performance and dependability at least.
I prefer the led strips myself.

You can buy the 12" LED strip kits w/ remote from Danger Den
and also
Xoxide has the same thing but only they are 40" long.
Danger Den kits - check the box that says you want to add a molex connector unless you want to do it yourself.
Xoxide kits - I think you need to wire up a connector or something too. I forget.

Oops sorry. Forgot the UV part.
And, they aren't junk. They work awesome. I have several sets.
Elmypwns can probably help you on the UV lighting. His mod had a great setup.
