Well the new Server is up and running.

Me Smileymouse, and Flauntingmeat spent a good evening getting the Central Hub built up and we have made a good start of it.

All people who were on CrazyNomads server come on in, get your Central Hub lot now. there are only 26 left.

Installed plugins include:

Dynmap - Realtime web world map - http://nlancaster.dyndns.org:8123/
Runecraft - Magic runes to make this quicker/funner
Worldgaurd
Residence2 - self serve area protection system
Worldedit - only some OPs will have access to worldedit. Large scale excavation will be offered to players, to be performed by an OP. This will be complete excavation, no saving of ore.
Nethrar - Allows instant nether access in survival mode, trying to get working on creative, and minecarts can run into the nether and back out.
Worldsaver - timed backup and save for antigreifing support.

Also this server is up 24/7 except for a reboot everyday at 5am.

Also, just finished generating and rendering a new world map. Now almost the entire world from -4000x -4000z to 4000x 4000z is visible on the world map @ http://nlancaster.dyndns.org:8123

I will get the creative world portal open tonight. and get most of the central hub building up as well.

As many people predicted.

Bukkit has officially joined Mojang. Looks like Bukkit is going to become the integrated plugin/server system for minecraft!

That should make future updates to Bukkit come out more quickly, or at the same time as, Minecraft updates arrive.

Server may be a little slow this morning. Change Dynmap to highresolution mode and I have to re-render the map.

Which is what I like about bukkit vs Spout. Spout requires a seperate client.

I will be on this evening starting around 8-9pm. smileymouse may be on more don't know.

Minecraft 1.2 dropped today.

Do not update, there server is still at 1.1 until the bukkit server gets an update. as soon as it hits I will get it installed.

Mojang has changed! I was happy to see that I had an option to update now or later. There is only one server I play on that is not based on Bukkit.

I have been messing with 1.2 and we have a decision to make.

We can keep the world we have now.

Or seed a new world when 1.2 bukkit becomes available and I can copy our stuff over to the new world.

If we do not reseed we will be missing alot of new things. And honestly I did not expect 1.2 to hit so soon.

Let me know what you guys think, I will do whatever the users want. If we reseed and copy it will only a take a day probably to copy everything people have built over to the new world.

My vote would be to re-seed. I have read the upgrades for 1.2 and they sound really good.
