| PDXLAN 20 Event Sponsor | Comcast |
|
This year Comcast put in a 1GB/1GB fiber line to the conference center for PDXLAN at their own expense of nearly $20,000!!
Comcast stands out as the ONLY provider in the Portland Metro area that has consistently been there for gaming events. This speaks very high to their commitment level to YOU.
Please join me in thanking them for this awesome sponsorship! No other LAN in the country has this kind of connection!
Thanks especially to Kyle, Josh, and Scott!

A big thank you to Comcast and Xfinity,
1.) for the awesome internet line, upgrading to a 1GB is beyond anything any gamer could dream of at a lan party, I know it improved gameplay for me substantially and shows quite a huge investment on their part, its good to see them looking to the future and supporting gamers in those endeavors.
2.) A big thanks you to Josh, Scot (PotShot Scot) and Kyle (Notoes)
I've seen these guys work during the lans and seriously who enjoys having their gaming interrupted by work, yet these guys are there for us each lan and do their best to make sure our event is the most awesome on the west coast. a big heartfelt thanks to each of these guys.. I know I make sure to stop by and thank them personally at each event, and I do suggest everyone does the same!

Don't have Comcast myself. Just not available down in the middle of nowhereville and just south of dullsburg. No offense to the people of dullsburg, but your are dull.
From having it in the past, having it up at PDXLAN with the banks of cable modems supplying at the time what could be considered a crapload of the internets (not a metric crapload, that would be now they have brought fiber in no) for PDXLAN has been amazing. Even when I did have free Internet from where I worked, I still went with Comcast because the service was so much better.
So good on ya Comcast, we love you, even if you did carry a 24h reality tv channel.
