Transferring ticket

I bought two tickets, one for me (agent38ddd), and one for my buddy (gonif). When I did this for him, I had to register for the event under his name, because it was obviously one registration per user, then I just assigned his seat next to me -- good to go for the both of us. Now gonif can't go, no big deal, a friend of ours gave him money for the ticket. So now this other guy just needs to register for the event, and it looks like that will put him on the wait list. So I logged in with my credentials, just to see how you go about transferring a ticket. Looked pretty easy -- you just click the button, select a name, and I assume that's about it. Well I logged in with gonif's credentials, and it says he isn't registered/paid for the event (even though his seat is assigned next to mine at table 15) so it's a no go to transfer. My question here is, do I log in under my account, and does it give me a "choice" of what ticket to transfer since I paid for both of them? I don't want to transfer ticket under my account -- and then see that I no longer have a seat, if that makes sense.

disregard, I found the userid that I registered him under, and was able to transfer the ticket without issue. Userid was different than forum ID, just didn't remember.
