Random teams may be good for some people, but others not so much. I, for example, play a lot with a few people that are going this summer, and I find it much more enjoyable to be playing with people that I know well rather than randoms. Even though people at PDXLAN are pretty much guaranteed to be awesome and nice (unlike solo queue *cough cough*), it still isn't as good as playing with a group of friends.

Also, can we take Nomad's response as a sign to put him on the roster? Very Happy

Oh, don't get me wrong. My preference is still on pre-mades, though double-elim would seem silly if we did pre-made teams, and on a tourney this small. As long as we get BO3 i'm happy. My stipulation would just be that if we do random teams, that it's double elim.

Best of 3 sounds good, although I'm not sure how many people would be willing to put in that much time. My team and I certainly would, but some people may want to have it over quicker. We should probably start polls of all these things.
