standing to game? Reply with quote
some may have seen my FB posts about a standing rig over a treadmill for my gaming at home.

Would there be any practical reason I can't bring a shelf (like others have done, and still do) and standing while I LAN?

people bring lan stands i dont see why they would care (as long as you dont bring the treadmill LOLz)

from my understanding they dont care if you go up with the space that they give you, only if you go outside of the edges of the table space

I don't see any reason why someone would be bothered by their neighbor giving them more space by not having a bulky chair right next to them.

great to hear. I might actually grab a "Vari-desk" for my office before LAN, then bring it for testing. Wink

Thanks all, it's really not that bad to stand and game as long as your KB and mouse are proper height.

I believe standing-while-gaming used to be the only way to game...

I actually play better standing. Probably from better blood flow.

this thing is pretty sweet, and sturdy, and HEAVIER than you would expect (52 pounds by itself).

I'd be interested to see people using http://www.varidesk.com/ for gaming at a lan party but mostly because I'd like to see one in person. They seem like they would be portable enough and small enough that it would fit within the allotted space
