Possible work around for DX10 for XP Reply with quote
I was surfing around and ran into this:
http://www.fallingleafsystems.com/compatibility/

Sounds like they will have the free version available before PDXLAN 10.

So YAY!!, I don't have to upgrade to vista just yet.

Quite interesting, although I am wondering where you get the install for Vista Sidebar...

I doubt the Vista sidebar would work under XP without a bunch of code hacking, not because XP isn't capible or lacks anything but because if I was developing it as an integral "Vista only" feature I would have had my code monkeys put Vista-only API calls in every other line of code.

DX10 and OpenGL 3 (?) are supposedly very similar, I wonder if that's how those folks are planning to implement the backwards compatibility.

According to the website it's working but Requires minor TaskDialog tweaks

Wonder if there will be one for dx10.1 since it sounds like that will require new video card/vista sp1
