Photo Contest Reply with quote
I am looking for some great photos of people at the LAN.

The best photo will be photos I can use in my marketing material showing people having fun, candid gamer shots, people excited about winning prizes, that sort of thing. Something you would want to send sponsors.

Throughout the event, please feel free to put any photos of the event onto the following FTP address:

ftp://sporkserv/
(LAN only, sorry!)

The photos taken MUST be of PDXLAN 14.

if you wish your photo to be judged as part of the contest, please put "judge me", along with your HANDLE, FIRST, LAST NAME, and SEAT. The rest of the photos you send will be compiled in the final *.zip file.

You are limited to 5 photos to be judged.

Thanks!

Great contest I just have one question, what is the deadline for photos to be sent?

This is actually a contest I'm excited about. I suck at pretty much every tournament game, and my wonky work schedule doesn't allow me to participate in a lot of the random non-gaming contests.

Great pic. I might have tried to take it from a higher angle, the front row really dominates the lower half, but I do like how yours turned out color/lighting wise. Do you have a version with the Exif data intact so I can see the settings?

Edit: nm, I see that it was a merging of 3 photos

Ya I wanted to go higher for the same reason, my tripod only goes up about 6 feet or so. A shot from a ladder from about 1/2 - 2/3rds up the wall would be sweet.

My uncle has gotten interested in pole and kite photography lately. Might be worth looking into as a pole is a bit more portable than a ladder.
