Now addicted to minecraft - and here is a PDXLan server

I did mention to those in the IRC that you had a sweet redstone museum on your server.

I found the Stronghold after a couple weeks of searching, then collected enough Ender pearls to create the keys to open the gate to the End. The gate to the End is open and awaiting courageous warriors in search of honor and victory.

I would like to invite anyone who is interested to join me in a trip to the End, and a share of the experience in killing the Ender Dragon (the only way out of the End).

I do ask that whoever gets the Dragon Egg tries to set the egg for hatching before we leave the End.

Once we get to the End, the only way out is to kill the Dragon and to go through the gate that will be there. Failure is not an option. The Sysop can't even teleport us out.

I've been there before on another server. The dragon can be killed, and it gives a LOT of experience. There were five of us and I walked away after collecting 50 points in experience orbs.

First I'm just asking who is interested, then I'll try to organize a time that I can go which matches the most others availability as well. I'm willing to wait for people to collect supplies. But I don't want to wait more than a week.

You'll need:
* diamond armor -- I've read that it's the only armor that is effective against the dragon's breath,
* a bow,
* LOTS of arrows,
* a diamond sword would not hurt either -- you will have a crowd of Endermen who will not be happy that we've killed the Dragon.
* food -- there will be no source of food at the End
* anything else you think you'll need. There is nothing at the End but Endermen and Dragons.

Just abit of help for you guys, if you don't wanna deal with enderman and just kill the dragon. Bring and wear pumpkins on your head and they wont attack you.

It has been like this for quite awhile from all that i know, Go ahead test it all i know is that it does work.
I was told by a friend that plays on my servers.

And its how they took out the dragon on an older world pre-anvil.

Also the dragon egg doesnt hatch and its quite useless at the moment unless you have a mod for it i do believe so.

Atleast it hasnt done anything but prolly respawn a dragon when you leave it on the portal stand where it spawns.

Cool. Leave it to Notch to put such a funny defense mechanism into the game. I love it!

You don't really need armor, two friends and I killed it naked with swords lol.

Also, Beds explode when you try to sleep in them (can use the explosion to hurt the dragon)

Also, the dragon only drops 200 levels of xp, and the endermen don't care that you killed the dragon.

Just letting everyone know that on Sunday nights we are have a free for all spleef fight, just for the hell of it. On Sunday May 6th we are going to have another treasure hunt. And we are deciding what we will have for a competition in the latter half of the month. Looking right now like we are going to have a scavenger hunt.

Vaelin (nLancaster) has built this amazing Romanesque arena for the Spleef tournaments. It's a last one standing game where you are trying to knock the blocks out from under your opponent. If you are the last one standing on a block you win, get teleported to the winner's seat, and win a prize!

It is a FAST paced game, but players can join in and have an equal chance of winning even from their first day logging into the server.

Fair warning: nLancaster seems to be the player to beat. I say we all gang up on him! Bwah hahah hahahah

I saw that link somewhere else, but it never works for me. always have to use cached data. kewl looking though. I want something like that for my server that shows static lines for connected players. Very Happy

For anyone here trying to get on my server, I have no idea why it is down. It was working this morning before I left for work. Trying to get ahold of someone at home to reset the router because I have a feeling that is the issue.
