| Lian Li V1000 - Quick Mod |
|
I have a customer I just finished a mod for.
Thought you guys might like to see the case. It's a real simple mod.
Customer wanted the inside of his case to be satin black, needed coolant line holes in the back, a little shaving here and there for wire management, and a flush fit window in the top.
So here goes -
The case in it's stock form. Pretty nice and clean. Really well built.
As you can see, the outside is anodized but the inside is natural.
I made a template for a window -
And ripped the guts out of the shell. Drilled out a LOT of rivets for this.
I popped in the holes, cut out the window, and sent the guts in for powder coating.
For the window, I made a template out of plywood and clamped it to the top and used my router. I didn't really plan on doing a huge work log for this so I didn't take tons pf pics.
I used a .250 acrylic and cut a step all the way around so it would sit flush once I glued it in. That way it's flush with the top of the case. It took a little hand work to get it perfect.
I bought a ton of black rivets to put it all back together. They were cheap and well worth it. I had to touch them up a little once compressed.
So here are the finished pics. I have a ton of stuff coming real soon that will get your attention.
Thanks for checking it out.

Are the pictures huge or is it just me?
I resized them in Photobucket first but they look like the original size to me
NM = fixed
