I don't really think EA deserved to win, yes shady tactics, online passes, origin, etc. But did they help with speculation on Wall Street? Do the CEO's get bailed out and then have "golden parachute's" consisting of millions of dollars given to them after the fact?

No.

“We’re sure that British Petroleum, AIG, Philip Morris, and Halliburton are all relieved they weren’t nominated this year. We’re going to continue making award-winning games and services played by more than 300 million people worldwide.” - EA's response to the 'award'

EA only won because of the ending of Mass Effect 3.

And...

Let's not forget the travesty of horrible train-wrecks in their wake ever since Medal of Honor: Breakthrough.

Yeah, I'm pretty much here as well. I'm sure they lost because the demographic of people reading the Consumerist cares a lot more about video games than the average person. There's no way that making some crappy games and questionable anti-piracy methods comes close to causing unspeakably enormous environmental or financial disasters.

+1

It's going to suck when the day comes where we can only buy games online and that is it!
And all the game stores have to shut down....

I don't think I've bought a game, in a game store, in almost 5 years.

I still do on some games, like to have the fluff stuff, but only on a few game titles...

All my console games though I still by at the game store, but with the rumors about the next gen, I don't think I will ever bother with a console again...if the rumors come true.

You guys are forgetting about the World Devastating Game Delivery Platform: Orgin.

That alone is enough to guarantee them for the Worst Company for three years!

Never had a problem with them personally. But I know they suck from others.
