I need some suggestions. I have corsair 800d case, and during the last LAN I attended, the ccfl's started falling off the side of the case. The Velcro tape that they came with got tacky and became not so sticky. Does anyone know of a good way to attach components like this.

The velcro tape that comes with CCFL kits are notorious for peeling of when things start getting warm. I suggest you remove the velcro tape and use some 3m/scotch double-sided foam tape. Its inexpensive, hold strong and can be removed if needed.

I'd agree, except I'd go one step further - instead of the foan tape get the 3M Mounting tape Number 4010. this is the stuff that Bill owen calls "Tape of the Gawds" and uses to attach windows to side panels - under warranty. Good stuff.

+1 on the 3M 4010..... but be sure that it is what you want... hard to remove the stuff once you mount it and it sets.

a couple little notes on the 3M stuff after using it for 10+ years:

Use pressure to put in place, then try not to strain it for a day or so...the bond will be much better if you can leave it alone.

Remove it with SLOW pressure, like a narrow screw driver in the corner and gentle upward leverage. Be Patient.

Yanking on it may fracture your plexi, peel paint, or even take the whole panel out! I have some places it hasn't released for 5-7 years and I can still take it off with the proper technique. Wink

yah that ^^ marine grade velcro rocks, but is spendy, and often thicker than I need/want.

Both the clear velcro and the clear sticky tape do well in UV but aren't immune either: they just last a lot longer in my experience.

I had a problem with any tape, velcro or anything sticking to my flexylights, so I used some thread and tied it to the light strip. works great.
