CPU Magazine | PDXLAN Coverage Reply with quote

Hey all - CPU Magazine's newest issue is out and there is some NATIONAL coverage of PDXLAN Modders and the LAN itself. PDXLAN regularly makes the magazine 3 times a year with the PDXLAN communities modding skills. I've overheard a number of times that CPU feels that they could just come to PDXLAN to find the best modding in the country. CPU has attended every PDXLAN since PDXLAN 7 in 2006 and has featured a metric ton of modders from PDXLAN.

Here is the latest coverage - and a special note: If you have a tablet (iPad, Droid, etc) you should really look at the FREE digital subscription. It's how I read the magazine today! Also, PC users - there is a web version of the magazine too! All free! Check it out at http://www.cpumagazine.com

I think it would be a grand idea for someone to put together some sort of collection of PDXLAN community mods that have been featuerd in the magazine.

Don't have to be at each one to be part of the community....

You were there in spirit man!

Remember most of the stuff I let people take out of my truck was your stuff you gave to the community!

You are very much part of the Pdxlan family:)

This all goes back to my original point:

"You do not have to be at every PDXLAN to be part of this community."

We can not be a community that ostracizes people who do not attend or we will be a community without growth.

Indeed. Neat to hear from people who ACTUALLY HAVE been to all the others. PDXLAN modders decimate everything else. It's been this way since 2004 - even before it got more popular on the forums.

You all do fun work. I mostly "lurk" in the modding forums... but I love seeing the progress pictures.

I totally agree. But if you are going to be part of the community then add value or try to be positive. I think my time away is helping me to progress in this area. Sure do miss you guys. I think Vector and I are better friends than I thought or appreciated. Weird.

The thing that makes people friends is not that they never disagree, it's that they can get along despite disagreement.

/end sappy vector. Smile

I think I will try another PDXLAN . . .

on topic: Its about time Vector puts in rig in for Mad Reader Mod (non-PDXLAN issue of course) to get a cover.
