ZOFLAM MOD

That's not actually the name of it but I'll change it once I get close to being done.

I'm going to tease you as I go. I will say that it does start with the letter Z.

I am going to do a quick mod (hopefully) that will be what I call a fun mod. Not a real gaming rig but still a real computer. People will want to touch it. People will want to play with it. I could possibly get into trouble for building it.

I've been cutting acrylic and gathering pieces. I will have a lot of crazy random stuff going on with this one.

Here are a couple things that I will be using -

maybe a spoiler, but my guess is ripping the prism out of the binocs and using it to put the webcam inside or off angle?

I have a lot of acrylic progress now. I've got a nice little puzzle going.

I needed a piece that had a step in it so I tried the "melt it in the oven" trick. It came out ok but I ended up touching some parts up with a heat gun.

I have a main box that I'm gluing up -

And a couple other little things going on -

So many different pieces to this crazy thing. I would imagine the real one costs over $50 k .

Ok, I'll just spill it.....

I am building a (to scale) SOFLAM.

It will be called ZOFLAM since I am using Zotac guts.

It will be mounted to a tripod and everything. Will be as close to possible as the real thing. However there are several designs/models that have been produced.
I am working on getting the tracking software going so that when it's plugged into a monitor, the camera behind the lens will track faces/objects similar to how it tracks targets in BF3.

I just need to gather a few more parts and I'll do another update.

You should set it up at the LAN targeting the men's bathroom. It gets bombed daily.
