They said that the amount of open beta testers that clogged up the servers during the open beta was only 300,000 players, that is NOTHING!

They need to do what wow does and slit the traffic up over a wide range of servers. now for hardware, i can already think of some server series that could handle that kind of traffic. lol

Nothing at all new and one of the many reasons I'll wait until it's $15 over a year down the road to even think about purchasing it.

Biz that makes me sad. This game is going to be one of the best games of the year that is for sure. I hate to see when people get all mad when a game first comes out. Yes I know that the companies should have fixed the issues with servers and things of that nature before release, but sometimes there are unforeseen issues that can arise. That doesn't mean people should bash a game just for that. Usually they are only hurting themselves in the long run by missing a great game when it releases.

You'll be waiting at least 10 years for that, Blizz only put SC2 half off this last holiday season and it's back up to full price now.

1: This happens all the time with new releases dependant on Internet activation.

2: Just not a big fan of the series or Blizzard. I'll maybe buy it and play it for historical value, but to me that's not worth much more than $15. For SC2 it would have to be less than that.

What's really bad is that people playing single player campaigns are getting disconnected and locked out.

That's just a step too far IMO.

Well, perhaps not activation specifically but I recall we had to shut off the internet for 500 people because a Blizzard game relied on an internet connection for local play. Like it or not this is becoming the new normal for Blizzard and I'm not a fan.

Yes, I realize that the situation was not the same or even under Blizzard's direct control in our case but both problems stem from their recent releases being defective by design. Perfectly preventable and would never have happened if this was the Blizzard of 10 years ago. That's the part that makes me sad: they used to be better than this.

WoW made blizzard into DA SUX0r. SC2 3 parts? have to buy each for X amount to just finish one story line? and that's only the single player. Multilayer has the same out dated b.net that Warcraft 3 had with all the bugs and more. Races are not balanced thus they had to remove Terran units so all the units you used in campaign are unusable. Silly.

D3? a single player game with multiplayer support right? nope, a multiplayer game with single player support. its just sad how every game, for PC, is going down this road.

Don't forget to add Internet to all game requirements.

/angry rant.

Back on topic, D3 looks and feels like the others and i really want to buy it but paying that $60 does get old. I think i can wait until blizzard wants to milk this cow a little less.

Personally I don't really care what some other kid did. It don't affect the enjoyment of the game for me. I haven't had a problem getting on the server, haven't had dropped connections, and no bugs so far.
