| Does Counterstrike really hate me that much? |
|
Counterstrike won't load on my laptop, it shows the background for the main screen without a pointer, then goes black and shows the mouse, and thats all that happens, it just stays there. Ive tried joining a friends game, it'll show the load screen, then gets all spazzed out. It used to work, and nothing has changed that I know of, so I don't get why this is happening now.
Tonight, I ran across the PDXWAN and thought I should try joining the gun game server, so I try to load up CS:S on my PC, and boom, I get an engine error saying the library client failed to load or something like that.
Anybody have any clue as to why CS refuses to work for me?

counterstrike source is like the king of game problems. I might be able to help you out. I need an exact name of the file, and the version of your OS.

I would try reinstalling the game. It sounds like a critical file became corrupted.

CS:S worked once i restarted my pc, so I guess that fix was pretty easy.
I already tried removing and reinstalling CS on the laptop and that didn't fix it either
