Both the UT3 demo and the full game work great for me in Vista.

Sounds like a PICNIC error to me. Wink

Well the installation process was corrupted in Vista, but it went smoothly in XP. I didn't install it any differently, just starting up the exe, so I dunno what the problem was.

... Go team proof-read! Wink

Did you do a dual boot or just flat out annihilate Vista in favor of XP? If you still have Vista sitting around you may want to try disabling UAC and redoing the install.

If you call being able to use an OS without issue then yes lol. I do admit there's something fishy going on and that it should've worked better out of the box because this many people wouldn't be complaining if something wasn't wrong with it, but I haven't had even a fraction of the issues I hear people complaining about and it's just weird when one person says they install something and it doesn't work then 5 other people jump in and say it worked just fine for them.

I had a bad encounter with vista, but I do believe it was on a hardware level. I found out my dvd/cdrom was dead/dying after the install and I had all kinds of issues installing it. It ran very oddly once I got it installed. I liked it, but I had to switch back to XP cause of the issues, which like I said I assume was either an issue with installation or a hardware issue seeing how my pc isn't quite top notch.. but I will give it another go with my new build.

I have had vista on three different systems and the only problem I've had with it was I couldn't get NFS Most Wanted installed. Other than that it has worked great for me.
