| My boy Kyle let me down... |
|
So...
I just wanted to let everyone at PDXLAN know that my friend Kyle let me down...
For the past 5 months, my friend Kyle has stated that he wanted to go to PDXLAN for the first time. He asked me how many seats were left every week!
And now he's failed to purchase a ticket!
I told him that I was going to flame him here...
FLAME (KYLE) FLAME

There will still be tickets to be had as people find out they cannot go. He's not off the hook yet!

I've had friends do the same...there is no way to impress upon these people how worth the minuscule amount of money it is....it is very difficult to express it to someone who has never experienced something like a large scale fun-centric lan
I have actually bought tickets for people in the past and told them if they didn't have a good time they wouldn't have to pay me back, that seems to do the trick

Just do what I always do
Purchase two tickets... and then that way if a friend ever decides to go with you, you have a seat, and he can pay you back. Otherwise, sell it
I've done that the last 2 PDX's and I always end up finding someone to come
(Except the last time, where I broke my leg the day of PDX, and BOTH seats went to waste...)

I actually bought a ticket for a friend, no pay back required. He said he'd go and then decided not to at the last minute. Left me hanging with an extra ticket.

I have a friend sorta like that.
He has repeatedly refused to go, but for a while (a few weeks after me and 3 buddies emerged from 13) he seemed into it. He does not see the value in it anymore though!
Oh yeah, and he is also angry that he has to buy two seats to accommodate his 1.2 KW psu. Srsly.

You could have bought his ticket and guilted him into going. If he didn't show, then either A: extra raffle tickets and extra space for you, or you sold it for a little profit on the forums.
I've got friends like that so I'll probably end up doing that for PDX 15.
