| Transfer Ticket? |
|
Hey guys, just trying to help out my friend here. He's new to PDXLAN and this is his first. My teamate Even (Boola) has two tickets and only needs one so he is giving my friend Elliot (1nfam0us) that extra ticket, how can we put it under his name and profile?
Addition: we already have rooms reserved and all set up.
Thanks!!!
-Josh

Transfer is already closed and the badges have even been printed already. I think at this point the only sure way to get a badge of his own is to buy one at the door. Perhaps you could bribe Demented (or whoever's running reg) since they're doing badges at the door but I don't know that it's ever been done.

As long as this doesn't become a habit I'm thinking they will be cool with it. Something like signing the badge over sounds reasonable to me, but I'm not staff so I can only speculate.

In the past (since I've been around, even as an attendee), once badges were printed and online ticketing was closed, no transfers were allowed. I'm not saying you can't now (I don't have authority to do that), I'm just saying that as far as I know it's not been done before.

get in line early and he can buy one at the door. from the front page:
PDX15 Reg Closed
Online Registration for PDXLAN 15 is now closed.
There are 36 seats still available to be sold at the door on a first come, first served basis. Ticket sales will start at 5:45 and will be cash only.

In the past ticket transfers after the badges have been printed have not been allowed under any circumstances.
As others have mentioned: There are tickets available at the door, those would be your best bet.

Yeah the issue is, Boola was gonna bring his son, but then he had to leave for the weekend until sunday, so it would be a waste of a ticket. And he wanted to give it to my friend. anyways, so there is no way? like literally?

he will have extra space and entry into the drawing so not a total waste.
