PDXLAN Rules (Top), Vector LAN Rules (Bottom) , Code of Conduct

 

PDXLAN Rules (Main Event / November LANs)

1. No smoking. Please smoke 40 or more feet away from the front door.

2. Alcohol and non prescription drugs are not permitted inside of the PDXLAN event, this includes marijuana.

3. No fighting, brawling, punching, scratching, kicking, judo flips, or any other form of physical conduct.

4. No weapons are allowed inside the event area. CCL by permit only.

5. No refunds will be given after you have paid.

6. You will need to register at the door and get a badge/wristband before bringing your equipment in.

7. All attendees are required to show legal photo identification or it will be assumed that you are under 16 years old and will need a parent/legal guardian to sign the waiver. If you fail to present the waiver or if you refuse to sign it you will not be admitted. 

8. No CRT monitors over 21". LCDs can be up to 27” per seat provided that you do not exceed your allotted space. (36" Standard Seat, 48" Leet Seat)

9. No DHCP servers allowed. This includes Internet Connection Sharing.

10. No cheating. If you are caught cheating in a tournament or in normal game play, you and/or your team, will be disqualified and or subject to removal without refund. PDXLAN and its staff/agents will determine what is constituted as cheating. 

11. Children under 13 must have written approval from PDXLAN Organizers to attend PDXLAN. 

12. Children 13-17 must attend with an adult that is related to the child.

13. Each attendee must sign a waiver stating that they take responsibility for any damage or loss that may happen to their equipment or person as a result of participation in PDXLAN. This means that anything you take into the event or win at the event, you are liable for.

14. No hacking or intentional network disruption. You WILL be ejected.

15. Do not tamper with anyone else's equipment but your own.

16. Since we try to maintain a friendly & tolerant atmosphere no foul language or crude/sexual language.

17. Keep your food and drink away from other peoples belongings.

18. Due to time issues the schedule may change without notice.

19. You are required to bring a surge suppressor or use friends. You understand that power spikes, outages, and damage could occur if you only use a power strip with no surge suppression. 

20. Sleeping in the main event room is not be allowed.

21. You are expected to maintain good hygiene fresh. Complaints about your body odor will result in removal from the event until you remedy the situation. (If someone smells – you need to report it to the help desk – we don’t actively seek out people who smell and rely on your input to make changes / take action)

22. Clean up after yourself. Trash bags/cans will be on site.

23. No touching, vandalizing, or any other form of physical contact of PDXLAN’s servers, network, and networking equipment is allowed.

24. If you damage or break any equipment belonging to, lent to, or donated to the PDXLAN organization, you will be held responsible to pay for the damages to or replacement of the item.

25. Distributing Pornography to a minor or possessing pornography as a minor is illegal and not allowed

26. Guests are not permitted inside PDXLAN. This includes your friends, family, parents, spouse.

27. There will be a hardware curfew from 3 AM to 9AM daily. No hardware may leave the main event room during this time.

28. Your total power consumption can not exceed 650W (Monitor and Tower)

29. Items not allowed: Personal mini fridge, speakers, routers.

30. Sexual harassment will not be tolerated in any form. If reported you will be removed from the event without refund.

31. External Hard Drives / Cell phone chargers are limited to (2) in order to prevent daisy chaining.

32. You may not distribute flyers, company product, or company branded items at PDXLAN unless you are a PDXLAN sponsor listed on the sponsor page.

33. You may not sell products at PDXLAN without prior permission. 

34. The event closes from 3am-9am daily. Only security is allowed to stay (Not even staff or sponsors may stay)

35. PDXLAN Event Organizers always have final say. Do not argue with them.
