PDXLAN 12 Wrap up!

This Summers largest West Coast LAN has come and gone. In all over 650 attendees (Lanners, MMO'rs, Sponsors, and Special Guests), Hundreds of pizzas, Thousands of bottles of Bawls, Hundreds of Thousands in Prizes, and tons of fun.

Sponsors kicked into PDXLAN 12 like never before setting a PDXLAN record of $130,000 in Prizes. Major sponsors to thank are Intel, THQ, and Palit for over 1/2 of that! PDXLAN would also like to thank two other groups of people - The PDXLAN Staff, and the Volunteers who helped setup this massive event. The volunteers and volunteer PDXLAN Staff worked for two days setting up the tournament area, game servers, stage, hanging banners, putting up the sound system, running power and network cables, and getting the hall ready for the attendees. Thank you for your hard work. It showed.

Finally, and the most important of all, PDXLAN would like to thank all of the PDXLAN and PDXMMO attendees that came to the event. It is truly a one of a kind event that is UNIQUE because of you the attendees that come. It is said by CPU Magazine that PDXLAN is the highest concentration of PC Enthusiasts in the country - as evidenced by the sheer number of towers modded. Thanks to all the attendees who drove for days, flew thousands of miles, and stayed for days at the Holiday Inn to play games and hang out with friends. LAN's are great because of the people who come to them. PDXLAN is great because of you.
