What is PDXLAN?

If you have not been to a PDXLAN before, prepare to have fun. PDXLAN is a very unique type of event for 550 Gamers from all over the country. The event goes for 4 days, and is a truly a "LANSTOCK" of its time. Some come to compete in tournaments, some come with groups of friends as part of a road trip, and some just live local and come to have fun.

You'll find that PDXLAN has more prizes than any other sole LAN Party in the United States. PDXLAN believes that all gamers deserve to win products, not just the good gamers. This is why we split up all prizes so that at the end of the event we have a mega raffle where random raffle ticket chance decides who wins.

Our sponsors include the best companies that make PC-Gaming unbelievably awesome. NVIDIA, AMD, EVGA, PNY, Antec, CoolerMaster, ThermalTake, MSI, Valve, Comcast, Astro Gaming, Razer, Plantronics, Crucial , Patriot, ZOTAC, AZiO, ADATA, and many, many more.

We hope that you will join us for our next event!

We hope to see you there!

History: 2002-2013

PDXLAN is the West Coast Mecca of LAN parties, parties with 500 computer gamers that come from all over the United States, and Canada, to game for four days straight. Competitive Tournaments intrigue gamers to come compete, and win prizes from sponsors such as INTEL, ASUS, and NVIDIA. What distinguishes PDXLAN from professional tournaments is that PDXLAN believes in giving to the average gamer rather than just the pro gamers. that's why you will see the largest prize chest items go to contests and the general raffle. PDXLAN is about having fun for four days with tons of caffeine, loads of contests, meeting friends, and playing the games you love... and with 499 other gamers there, chances are there is always someone there who wants to play what you do!  To find out when our next PDXLAN in Portland Oregon is, click here . What exactly happens at a PDXLAN?
What makes PDXLAN so unique is the blend of fun contests, gaming with friends, huge tournaments, and even larger prizes.

Contests:
PDXLAN will usually do contests that are fun, and different. You won't see a new game as a contest, but you just might see a contest with a twist on a popular game.

Gaming With Friends:
While all LAN Parties can boast gaming with friends, few can lay claim to people traveling from as far as Europe to attend with clan mates. Either way you look at it, if you come with 5 friends, expect to leave with 15 more you met at the LAN.

Tournaments:
While tournaments are not PDXLAN's main focus, PDXLAN still likes to add the competitive edge only tournaments offer. With that in mind, PDXLAN offers great Tournament competition that only a LAN can provide.

Prizes:
PDXLAN is very unique in the sense that no one can rival the amount of prizes given away. What is even better is that PDXLAN doesn't just give prizes to the good gamers, but saves over 80% of its prizes for a general raffle that can go to anyone.
