The past two years have been rough on a lot of people. From losing jobs to losing family or friends due to COVID, there have been many hardships. Perhaps one of the hardest hit places this has surfaced is in the non-profit and charity organizations out there. This is where PDXLAN can help. We can target local charity and GIVE BACK to the community in which we live.
Today I would like to announce that we will be supporting Forward Stride for our Spring 2022 charity drive. Through the pandemic I have watched them work hard to continue their services. Forward Stride works with veterans, children, and those with special needs. Forwards Stride also works with children in mentorship programs and those who need occupational and speech therapies.
Perhaps the largest reason I chose this charity is because I see first-hand how far their staff are willing to go for their programs. Forward Stride’s small staff is supported by over 100 volunteers who give their time to help make these programs work.
For Spring 2022, our primary goal is to raise $30,000 for Forward Stride.
Attendees that donate to the charity will receive 1 charity raffle ticket per $10 they (or their family and friends) donate. Attendees can then take those tickets and put them towards chances at winning prizes from our amazing sponsors. Attendees can freely choose if they want to go for a hard to get GPU, or a brand new CPU. Attendees will also be able to choose the “Grand Prize” system… a complete dream PC with an EVGA GeForce 3080 Ti!
